Disaster
strikes when the American Space Shuttle Eagle, carrying a crew of DNA specialists
working on top secret genetic experiments in its hi-tech Bio Spacelab,
is hijacked by a sinister group of highly organized subversives and landed
in the Arabian desert.
Eminent
British geneticist, virologist and infectious disease specialist Professor
Marcus Conway receives an urgent call for help from his colleague Professor
Allbright, head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, Atlanta, Georgia
- It is their potentially deadly cargo that is aboard Eagle.
The
race is on to recover the downed Shuttle and its precious Spacelab Module.
A British Airforce fighter speeds Conway to Israel, where he joins a crack
team, assembled to locate and secure the Shuttle's payload, prior to an
American attempt to lift out the Spacelab module. But nothing is
as it seems!
During
the mission Conway meets the stunning and very able Captain Sarah Meyer,
a graduate of The Hebrew University who also works with Israeli Army Infectious
Diseases and Germ Warfare Unit. He and Meyer share many adventures, trials
and tribulations in their quest for the missing payload. Along the
way they meet Ali, the Old Arab, who several times saves Conway's life.
Only
towards the end of the adventure will the full meaning and extent of the
hijack become clear. The German word 'Untermenschen' suddenly assumes
frightening new meaning when Professor Conway discovers that Hitler's plans
for the 'Final Solution' and the creation of a 'Master Race' did not die
in 1945 in the rubble of a bunker deep below Berlin.
After
more than half a century, another generation of fanatical believers plan
to unleash a devastating new terror on an overpopulated, polluted and resource
starved planet - but this time The Final Solution will apply not only to
the Jews!
